Welcome! I am Ms. Jess! NC Nature

+ Nurture is my passion project, and it’s truly a joy and privilege to spend this time with your amazing kids! For 20+ years, I’ve been fascinated by the connection between children’s development, emotions, behavior, and the natural world. Helping children build confidence, curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning + nature is at the heart of everything I do.

I hold a BA in Developmental Psychology from NCSU, am a certified Forest School Teacher through FSTI, and am trained in Adult & Pediatric CPR and First Aid.

I’m also a proud mom of three wonderful humans (plus Bandit, our playful 6-year-old lab!) and a lifelong nature enthusiast. I love yoga, reading, jogging, kayaking, hiking, adventure – and of course, being silly.

Hello! My name is T’Keyah, but I normally go by Keyah. I have a bachelor’s degree in Birth-Kindergarten education and have over 10 years of childcare experience. I’m super excited to work at N+N because it combines my love for early childhood education with my passion for the outdoors. I’m excited to help children learn through exploration, play, and meaningful experiences in nature! I enjoy gardening, reading, hiking, caring for my dog and houseplants. My goals are to own land, create a homestead, and live a more sustainable lifestyle.
